Love For Little Boys
Jackson Robard
CHAPTER ONE
Generally, Marsha Robbins followed the main thoroughfare from San Bertrand to Crater Heights, the comparatively new residential section where the small suburban city’s professional and upper middle-class had migrated in basic social-strata segregation, though such had not been the lovely, twenty-nine year old, auburn-haired attorney’s reasons. The picturesque area was less-smog polluted, quieter, and one’s neighbors were separated by sizable, landscaped grounds rather than paper-thin apartment walls... besides, she could well afford her tastefully furnished, two bedroom home. Wasn’t she going to be San Bertrand’s next District Attorney?
The green-eyed beauty made a pleasing and confident little smile to herself, manipulating her sports car skillfully, happy that she had chosen the more scenic and less traveled Hill Drive that eventually wound its way into the Heights. Actually, some three miles by the main drag stretched between her home and down-town office, but it was such a gorgeous California day... just perfect for meditation... that the quiet ‘back-way’ had appealed to her over the hustle-bustle of San Bertrand Avenue.
